Best Film Of 2009 :)

Posted on January 18, 2010. Filed under: Film & Tv |

The film i think was the best that came out in 2009 is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. This is because i love Harry Potter 🙂 Even though the film is nothing at all like the book (which is dissapointing) i still loved the film. Another film i looked forward to watching in 2009 that proved to be one of my faviroutes is New Moon, the sequel to Twilight. I thought the film was well made and the fact that it was a lot like the book made it more enjoyable. I can’t wait to see what films 2010 brings us. I’m looking forward to watching Alice in Wonderland and will probably put up a review on here once i watch it 🙂

I love horror films 🙂

There are a lot of types of horror films, theres Sci-fi.. and gorey.. I love them all 🙂 Lots of people dont see the fun in watching horror films, because whats fun about getting scared.. but thats the fun of watching them.

My favirote horror film at the moment would be The Messengers. I recently watched it and although its a lot like some other horror films with creepyu dead things in them, its still fun to watch it..

I think that everyone probably like atleast one horror film.. Even if its a horror film that isn’t very scary..

Trailers..

Posted on November 29, 2009. Filed under: Film & Tv |

I like watching trailers, if i watch one trailer i then have to urge to watch more, but there are a lot of trailers that have mislead the viewers to believing that the film is different to how it actually is. Some trailers show the film to be a certain genre, like horror, when its actually a completley different genre, like a romance. Other trailers show the best bits of a film, so theres nothing to look forward to seeing. There are other trailers that show the film to be a great film, when the film is actually terrible. One trailer that i think misleads the viewer about the film is Tropic Thunder. The trailer shows the film to be a funny action film about a group of actors who get lost in a forest, but think there filming for their new movie. From watching the trailer, i though it would be a great film, i thought that it would be hilarious, but when i went to see it i was very dissapointed. The film is not funny, and theres not much action, i also found that all the best bits where shown in the trailer. Another trailer that i’ve heard a lot of complaints about is Twilight. The trailer for twilight shows it to be a horror/action film with lots of fights and cool vampires, but when you watch the film, its more of a romance film about a vampire and human. These are some of the dissapointing trailers i have come across, but i still love watching trailers… 🙂

Apocalyptic films…

Posted on November 25, 2009. Filed under: Film & Tv |

Apocalyptic films are quite big at the moment. Whether it’s machines taking over the world (9) or the world falling apart (2012). Many people enjoy apocalyptic films, which is weird because im sure they wouldnt enjoy the apocalyps happening now. I think that people enjoy them either because they are pessimists and want to see how it will happen or because they enjoy watching the special effects and the many ways the world can end or they just enjoy watching the americans become deceased, demised, dead, pushing up the daisies, gone to meet their maker, die. Apocalyptic films have always been popular, although a lot more of them have come out in the last few years. This is mainly because people believe that the world will end in 2012, this is because the mayan calendar ends in 2012. Film creators have been very creative in coming up with ways that the world will end, for example, The world could get taken over by apes (Plant Of The Apes), Diseases and viruses (I Am Legend), the popular natural disaster’s (2012, Day after tomorrow) and Zombie films could be classed as apocalyptic. Due to the years that the films come out, the apocalyptic idea’s in the films change, such as in the 60’s space was on everyone’s mind, so it spouted films like Planet of the Apes. In the 90’s and early 2000’s viewers enjoyed more fictional apocalyptic films, like zombie movies, whereas now more films are coming out about natural distasters because there is a posibility that it could happen. Film creators are clever in making these films, they always seem to have a group of survivers, this gives the viewers hope that if the apocalypse happens they could survive. Personally i enjoy apocalyptic films, i find it interesting to consider the many ways that the world can end. I also enjoy the special effects added and the ammount of work that goes into making these films believable.
